Summertime in Regina means beautiful lakes, buzzing bars and a city with one of Canada's largest greenest spaces. Although abundant with natural wonders, this city also bustles with activity. Check out two festivals that will liven up your vacation in Regina this summer!
 

Regina Fringe Festival

The Regina International Fringe Festival returns for an even larger celebration of comedy, musical performances, dance, magic, and live theatre from local and international talent. The annual festival is hosted by the Regina International Open Theatre Society, a community-based non-profit organization, whose goal is to bring affordable and independent live theatre to audiences of all ages.
 
 The festival takes place from July 10-14 at various venues. Prepare for four days of dazzling entertainment and check out any one of the shows happening throughout the festival.
 

Water Lantern Festival

On June 29th, participate in a one-of-a-kind celebration of life with family, friends, and stranger at the 2019 Water Lantern Festival. Thousands gather at Albert Street Promenade to remember loved ones gone and cherish moments with those still present. Before the sun sets and lit lanterns light up the night, enjoy a variety of food trucks, music, and entertainment. Set a bright one of thousands of lanterns and watch it float on a beautiful lake as a sign of healing and love, for an unforgettable and touching experience.
 
Each ticket includes admission, lantern, commemorative drawstring bag, marker, wristband, and covers the cost of cleaning up the lake of lanterns. Lanterns are 100% ecologically made of wood and rice paper and will be removed from the water by staff and volunteers.
